GROUP SUPERVISION INFORMED CONSENT AND CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
Purpose of Group Supervision
Group supervision is intended to support the professional development of therapists, counsellors, social workers, interns, and other helping professionals. Participants may discuss clinical work, professional challenges, ethical dilemmas, transference and countertransference, case conceptualization, and professional identity development.
This group is educational and consultative in nature. It is not psychotherapy, personal analysis, crisis intervention, legal advice, or clinical treatment.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is essential to creating a safe and productive learning environment. Participants agree to:
• Keep confidential all information, clinical and personal, shared by other participants.
• Protect the confidentiality of clients discussed in supervision.
• Present client material in a manner consistent with applicable privacy legislation and professional ethical standards.
• Refrain from recording, photographing, or distributing any portion of the group.
Because supervision occurs in a group setting, confidentiality cannot be absolutely guaranteed. All participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional discretion.
Technology and Privacy
Online supervision sessions are conducted through a secure zoom meeting. While reasonable measures are taken to protect privacy, electronic communication and online platforms carry inherent risks. Participants are responsible for joining sessions from a private location and using secure internet connections whenever possible.
Professional Responsibility
Participants remain fully responsible for their own clinical decisions, professional judgment, documentation, and compliance with the ethical and legal requirements of their licensing or regulatory bodies. Consultation provided during group supervision does not replace independent clinical responsibility or individual 1:1 supervision.
Jurisdiction and Credentialing
Participants are responsible for confirming whether participation in this supervision group meets the requirements of their licensing, registration, certification, or professional organization. While attendance records may be provided when appropriate, no guarantee is made that supervision hours will be accepted by any specific regulatory body, college, association, or training program.
Fees and Cancellations
Fees are non-refundable except in cases where a session is cancelled by the facilitator. Missed sessions are not eligible for refunds unless the spot can be filled with another participant.
